... a suitcase. At least that's the case for me. Pack designed to be especially easy since the summer weather in Taiwan is only one thing: damn hot. 37 ° C is quite normal. At nine clock in the morning it is about 32 ° C. Well, back to packing. I have for the first Saturday morning started and it has given me the same day wonderful for swimming and a half hours. (Too bad that the weather has unfortunately not been through!) Finally, the suitcase was not even packed - perfect for when you consider that there are quite a lot to buy here ...
At the airport I want to stock up on a book for the flight. Since it was really good books to choose from, I've only won through to two and eventually bought a total of three: "Gut gegen Nordwind", "masquerade" (a Discworld novel by Terry Pratchett) and " Wolf Hall, winner of the Booker Prize 2009. The latter is a historical novel and was treated briefly in a lecture. An avid student of the purchase was near, of course. The second book I bought because I always wanted to read a Discworld novel and wanted to have something fun for the flight. "Gut gegen Nordwind" I was once recommended. So far I only got to read this very novel, but there's also the return flight. "Gut gegen Nordwind" is in itself an epistolary novel, only with e-mails instead of letters. The E-Mail Transport is by chance between two strangers who gradually fall in love and face the need to question whether they want to risk an encounter or not. I can recommend the book to all who believe that emotions may well develop over this indirect way. For others, it will probably be not quite understand.
Most of the time spent I read not so much to look at books than with movies. In the more than 10-hour flight from Amsterdam to Taipei via Bangkok I saw a total of five films: "The Wolfman," "The Blind Side," "Precious", "A Single Man" , and "Sherlock Holmes". The first and the last film are typical entertainment films that you look at once and then is good. Since the other three films were more interesting. With "The Blind Side" is the story of a gifted boy from a poor sport, will gradually part of a large family - a touching movie. If you need just something beautiful, I can only recommend it! "Precious" is the story of a 16-year-old, overweight girl who is being abused mentally, physically and sexually by his parents. It's a pretty stark story. In "A Single Man 'is the last day of a gay British professor shows who wants to commit suicide after his lover died. Hmm, how should we describe this movie? He is very artistic and there are flashbacks in a very nice tender Scenes where the men meet to my enthusiasm at all the typical gay stereotype, but very real effect.

There were a total of three meals on board: dinner, breakfast and lunch. I absolutely can not complain about it because it looked very appealing and has for airline food tasted good. Actually, I find great airline food anyway, and I can not say exactly why. What you see in the picture is, incidentally, was my breakfast: Scrambled eggs with tomato, fried potatoes, bread, fruit salad and yoghurt.

I'm finally on Sunday around 12:30 clock German Time and clock 18.30 in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. I was met by two volunteer students, Ruby, and Rola. Of course these are not their real names, but that you could start anyway. Both are very friendly and were very excited about the fact that I can already speak Chinese. There is far away, the National Chung Hsing University, Taichung in the 180 km, we had only three hours drive by tourist bus. Then we went by taxi. Finally, we also arrived in the dormitory for female students, I find my fellow students from Tübingen came into the room. It is a 4-bed room with bunk beds and private bathroom. It is now of course not at all luxurious, but I think you stand there about six weeks. If the bed sheets were not so nasty scratchy ...
Around midnight I finally came at last to bed after I was awake about 33 hours. The next morning we were picked up by our volunteer coaches and the official welcome to be related, where there were a few speeches. It is primarily volunteer care Taiwanese students (very movingly) about us and not the few. This could they actually go home, because here are vacation! In any case, we were advised of all important things (typhoons, earthquakes ... The common food in the canteen, we had to take a placement test, but I will say, with flying colors - to have mastered - 98 of 100 points. (I was the best, muahahaha!) We were divided into two groups of six.
At this point I only listen to once, but I promise lots of additions, more impressions, more pictures and more food for the next time and I apologize for boring reading. There is so much to do and see that I seriously can hardly keep the letter, but I will do my best: D
